 My counselors at the Fountain Street Vocational Rehabilitation Center and The Providence Center told me that I had to get my Serv-Safe Certification and that it was offered at Cookie Place.
My main life dream was to own my own catering business and then things went downhill for me through the years and I just put it aside. Then I found out that I had to get my Serv-Safe Certificate before I could try all over again. But I kind of enjoy this. Working at CP takes my mind off things because there are certain things that I have to do and certain things that I have to concentrate on. It makes me feel real good because when I do something and my supervisors see that I have done a nice job and they tell me -- it makes me feel real good. With the experience I have gained here, I know that I could (go) somewhere else and just add on to what I already know. |
