My counselor at the Office of Rehabilitative Services at The Providence Center recommended that I see Ray at the Cookie Place. When I first started, I learned how to mix the batters, and then I started scooping, then I started cooking on the grill and then delivering.

Cookie Place has provided me with a legitimate job something to help me provide for my family. I like my boss, Ray, because he will let you do your own job. If you have a question all you have to do is ask it and he will help you. So it makes it kind of easy so there is no stress on my back. He treats everyone the same so it’s a good experience. Everybody here is judgment free, we don’t judge each other. We just treat each other with respect- always kind words spoken. Working at Cookie Place is very therapeutic. When I come here I feel better about myself because I am not sitting at my house just rotting away doing nothing-- I’m a hard worker; I know how to work a hard day!
